He has performed more than 1000 minimally invasive cardiac procedures including a large number of robotic cardiac procedures. Formerly he served as Senior registrar at Royal Adelaide Hospital, Australia, where he was trained in minimally invasive cardiac procedures. He also had training in heart transplant and LVADs in University of South Manchester, UK. He is currently a leading teacher cum trainer for junior surgeons for Robotic cardiac surgery and minimally invasive cardiac surgery. He also has extensive interest and experience in off pump coronary artery bypass, redo cardiac surgeries, complex aortic surgeries, valve repair and replacements.
