Dr. Shyam Sunder Bansal is a distinguished Interventional Cardiologist in Faridabad with a career spanning over three decades. Dr. Shyam Sunder Bansal began his journey in medicine with a Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, in 1986. He furthered his medical expertise by completing his MD in Internal Medicine from B.J. Medical College, Gujarat University, followed by a Doctorate in Cardiology from the same institution. His relentless pursuit of excellence led him to attain a Diplomat of National Board in Cardiology in 1994. Dr. Bansal is a Fellow of the Society of Cardio-Vascular Interventions (FSCAI, USA) and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC, USA).

Dr. Bansal’s commitment to advancing his skills saw him train at prestigious international institutions, including the Mayo Clinic in the USA for Stress and Transesophageal Echocardiography and the Rodenberg Clinic in Germany for an Angioplasty programme. His global exposure is complemented by collaborations with world-renowned cardiologists, contributing to his deep understanding of complex cardiovascular conditions.

Under his leadership since 2002, the dedicated heart centre in Faridabad has emerged as a beacon of hope, performing over 35,000 procedures including significant numbers of angioplasties with stenting. His innovative approaches in interventional cardiology have not only set benchmarks locally but have also contributed significantly to the field globally.

Dr. Bansal’s remarkable career is decorated with numerous accolades, including the Excellence in Healthcare Award by Dainik Jagran in 2020 and his contributions have been recognized by various national and international bodies.
