He previously led the Pulmonary Embolism Response Team (PERT), a first-of-its-kind initiative in India that introduced an organised, multidisciplinary protocol for managing pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis, significantly improving outcomes in these high-risk conditions.
An expert in advanced cardiac diagnostics and interventions, Dr. Kiron performs procedures such as transesophageal echocardiography, coronary and peripheral angiography, and complex coronary and peripheral angioplasties. His interventional expertise includes CHIP angioplasty, intravascular imaging–guided interventions (IVUS, OCT), and structural heart procedures such as device closures, TAVR, and MitraClip. He was part of the team that performed the first robotic angioplasty in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and he holds the first and only Indian publication on intravascular lithotripsy–guided carotid stenting.
